Intellij is fine because the only other viable editor for java (vscode with the java extension) uses roughly the same amount of memory, java is just that bloated

I tolerate PHP, so I wanted to use PHPStorm because it is the standard for laravel development.
I download the trial and I find out that laravel is not supported out of the box, but I need to download and configure a shitload of plugin, including another third party one that cost like 3$ a month.
I have no problem shilling another 3$ a month on top of the 10$ of PHPStorm or whatever, but it's the fuckin principle.

I've actually switched from Intellij to Eclipse for most of the work stuff.
It's absurd how shit it works on huge projects, even if I disable auto-completion it still is a resource hog.
