Software engineer here, I work with quite a few female colleagues and they're literally the opposite of the Any Forums memes. They're great at what they do, not diversity or simp hires in any way. They're even young and attractive (though seemingly all taken sadly for me), so they don't fit the "butch female programmer" stereotype either. About the only gender difference is that all the senior devs are male - but then nobody pretends otherwise.
The thing is though, they're pretty much all Slavic (from different countries). So is Any Forums wrong, in that the problem with female coding is cultural and not inherent to gender?
Of course Any Forums is wrong this site is filled with female fearing incels

>racial That's why I mentioned they're Slavic i.e. white So I don't think it's that

And that's exactly why I say so.

Every commonly accepted consensus on Any Forums is wrong in every possible way. Social justice issues are just the tip of the iceberg. People here are wrong about everything else too. It's actually pretty suspicious, since they seem to deliberately change their views to be more wrong as new information is uncovered. >linux is unusable for years >even as it becomes usable the myth that it remains unusable prevails outside Any Forums >Any Forums at this time: "install gentoo" >people outside Any Forums finally start to realize linux is usable these days >Any Forums now: "linux is shit buy a mac"

This is literally the dumbest take. Any Forums is generally right about most things, it's just that it's overwhelmingly American even today so most posters have small cultural reference pools

Nah this is actually expected to an extent. Women in shithole countries will do whatever the fuck they can to gtfo. Once they are established and comfy they go for shit like becoming a nurse or whatever like you see in Sweden. Also Slav women specifically have to 'man up' a lil bit extra considering their men are useless drunks.
These women might all be very good at what they do though, it's not like they are actually less capable, mostly just not attracted to working with things instead of people statistically. I don't think there's anything bad about helping women get into tech if there's anything stopping them. The idea that you need to aim for 50/50 is beyond retarded though. Let people do whatever the fuck they want.
Elijah Jackson
I say this as an American myself. If you said Any Forums were overwhelmingly *not* American, and *I* have a small cultural reference pool, I might believe you. But if you're sure Any Forums is overwhelmingly American, that just makes me even more certain they're unironically wrong about everything all the time.

>becoming a nurse That's one of the worst examples you could have used, imagine dealing with people's bodily fluids. Even many guys can't do that shit

look up the gender-equality paradox people who are more materially free trend towards traditional employment paths slavic countries have terrible opportunities compared to western ones

>They're great at what they do, not diversity or simp hires in any way. Slav here, this has been my experience as well.
The only weird exception was a female coworker at a previous job reading a BDSM blog during a boring meeting while I sat next to her and not even attempting to hide it. I don't think anybody else noticed, though.

>reading a BDSM blog during a boring meeting while I sat next to her and not even attempting to hide it
I mean, all the points your post makes as examples are wrong so...
Install gentoo was always a trolling meme much like rm rf, to victimize hapless newbies. The whole point of the meme was (and still is) that gentoo is terrible for general use
Linux is nowhere near ready as a general-purpose desktop OS. It's so bad there's a regularly-updated article with an incredibly long list of issues: itvision altervista org/why.linux.is.not.ready.for.the.desktop.current.html
And SJWs are awful, though I'm not sure this board is the right place for that discussion.

>reading a BDSM blog Wait, what's there to read? I'm suspicious of your example user...
