I started saving for a GPU 2 years ago because I my 1060 6GB was struggling in 2k. Thanks to shortages and a stubborn refusal to support scalpers I have put away enough money to afford a flagship GPU and a new motorcycle while keeping all the bills paid.
It's not a matter of "stop being poor" it's a matter of "stop being stupid with your money". PC gaming is a hobby. Hobbies are expensive, but being stupid with your money is far worse.
A GPU is $1000. Downing 2 Monster energy drinks or 2 Red Bulls a day at work is $6 a day or $120 an average month. Coffee shop coffee, expensive pastries in the morning, eating at restaurants, lottery tickets, cigarettes & alcohol, all your vices are expensive and they add up.
