Arch is a timesink only if you are a retard.

I use arch for my web servers, it works great and it filters retarded devs that use old php versions.

pffft hahaha

Depends on what you are are using it for I suppose. If all you do is web browsing or whatever and the default configurations are perfect for you, well then these just work distros are good for you. Personally I find that I spend far less time battling my operating system now that I use arch than in my ubuntu days.
>in ubuntu once you starting fiddling with the configurations the damn thing just breaks
>AUR is a thing - pretty much every program under the sun is there and assuming somebody actually maintains it all it takes is a simple makepkg -ircs to get it up and running. In Ubuntu if apt doesn't have it, you are pretty much screwed. Good luck trying to build it from source
you won't, it never works
>archwiki
>newest versions of everything

Also the myth that it randomly breaks all the time is just that, a myth. In my years of using it it never happened, not unless I fucked it up myself with my retardation.

>wasting time doing picrel is productive
You arent any better.

Linode offers servers with arch installed. It attracts a lot of retards who cant read and install it themselves

Weeks start with Mondays

OP shows he has never used Arch Linux.

Only memes that are correct about Arch users is that they tell you they use Arch, and that they do a pacman -Syu every 30 minutes.

BTW, I use Arch

more effort went into that image than my arch install
> followed the wiki to install arch
> used pacman to install kde
it's embarrassing to get filtered by such a simple distro

Can you do a Emacs version?

>X windows broke
OP finding a forum post from 1990...

This is really low effort.

It's not just a time sink but also a time bomb equivalent of os. Your system can get broken easily and you can lose all your data during a system upgrade.

Gentoo is far worse.

Arch is kinda cringe.

only had issues with this shit. Now am at NixOS and this shit a lot more comfy.

i just use it for pacman
and the main reason i got into linux was the free software philosophy
but yes most of arch users are retarded hipsters

>caring this much about what runs on someone else's computer

Why do these threads even exist? I don't care if you use Arch or Windows or an iToy or whatever. It doesn't impact me or my preferences or what suits them.

Because Arch is much more popular than whatever distro OP uses.

Works on my machine. :)

I like their wiki desu, better than debian's
