What’s an AD password?

I think he's afraid they'll be bored with writing SQL and shit, but seriously. We're probably going to be stuck with this brainlet

Are you in the US? I'd gladly be bored with SQL

Canada. Were also "remote" but have to be working in the same city

>confusing explanation
No worries I believe I understand the explanation.

I suppose what'd be best for you would be to, (rather than bullshit/focus on X), convey Y (which you are confident about) and show those transferable skills.
I also however, wouldn’t fret over explaining what you know about X either, even if you don't word it in the best way (the expert should be tolerant of this given the role you’re going for).

>I didn't want to lie in resume | so I guess I was good enough for now?
You’ve indeed got to the interview stage, so they must like what you put there given you've been genuine. Thus even more of reason to just be confident in what you know.

At the end of the day you're a junior and thus they shouldn’t be too hard on you tech wise.
You also seem like someone who shows good initiative so I think if you can convey that, they’ll not be worried at all that you’re less confident on X.

In summary, don’t think you need to relate directly to X when you can show how good you are at Y and show that you’ve got the social/interpersonal skills to adapt well to the role.

>"remote" but have to be working in the same city
top brass scared about real estate investments tanking if slave classes were free to move out of these concrete jungles to where they can actually buy a house.

>do online data analytics cert on coursera
>get the first relevant job I apply for
that was easy

Why are you trying to write your own hashing algorithms? Stop trying to roll your own security before you get raked for being a dumb fuck instead of just being a faggot leaf

How do I stop feeling bad for doing basically no work?
I'm 100% remote now and sometimes there are just days where I have literally nothing to do, or a task that would maybe take 4 hours at most is assigned for 3+ days.
But it kind of feels bad to do nothing during work time, so I just sit in front of the computer and switch between my mails and our slack channel waiting for someone to say anything (which never happens). And that also feels like a giant waste of time...

I wish I had your job. I actually code some projects of my own, but at least I could get paid while doing so.

How hard is it to get a job as a pen tester?

>waaaa my job is too easy poor me

How do I get a job instantly? As a programmer for at least 60k~ while I find a better one

Depends. Have you ever hacked into a website before? How far did you get? Did you use any tools? What tools? Can you name the owasp top 10 off the top of your head? What is the top item that continues to plague web apps to this day?

Answer those and you will find a junior pen test gig. There is a severe shortage of them.

go to aka(.)ms/sspr
if your sysadmins arent retards this should be configured

you're in the enviable position of being paid to be available, not being paid to do work
as long as you're ready as soon as you're needed, you are doing fine

The guy didn’t know how to explain what a hashing algorithm is. Reading comprehension

i only ever had one level two helpdesk job, restarting tomcat services and generally troubleshooting problems. i know docker, i like scripting and know general programming concepts and could throw something together if i needed.
i feel technically competent enough to be able to get out of helpdesk but i'm still afraid to apply elsewhere because i'm pretty socially retarded, anxious and can't sell myself, have no real projects done, etc.
should i even bother looking for a new job yet?
