How do normalfags put up with this shit?
After 5 years od using adblocker decide to see how youtube ads are like today

hes literally me
This is your fault. If you never used adblock then regular users wouldn't have to suffer in this manner. Fact is, big companies have to run 5 times the amount of ads they normally would have just to stay afloat. There's a reason why no site uses banner ads anymore.
dns adblocking doesn't work anymore
I'm gonna say the n word
national socialism?
We both know this isn't true.
It is though, and you need not look further than the transformation of the Internet since the time that Adblock first showed up. Sites that were perfectly usable without an ad blocker are now impossible to navigate due to popup malware ads. Even legitimate, widely used sites have ads that can hijack your browser. It wasn't like this in 2006 or even 2012. You did this. You.
It's also Not My Problem™.
>big companies have to run 5 times the amount of ads they normally would have just to stay afloat
>have to
Because fuck innovation, just keep trying to force-fit a revenue model designed for television and radio onto the Internet. If that doesn't work, add more malware and cryptominers! And if that doesn't work, more guilt campaigns!
INTERNET ADVERTISING LOST, GET OVER IT.
We'll see about that when Firefox and Chrome move to Manifest V3.
So what? I'm not affected by it. And if more people use adblockers, the ads will eventually stop cause they earn no more money. Then we finally get back the old internet, hosted by enthusiasts, without corporate bullshit.
>We'll see about that when Firefox and Chrome move to Manifest V3.
*installs serenityOS*
Only a problem for chrometards
>Firefox will soon get the Manifest V3 support and I've got a couple of things to say about that. First of all, Manifest V3 is not an inherently bad idea like some news outlet assumed. The spec can be improved, that's why the W3C group exists. The problem is that Google refuses to adopt the most important bits of the developers' feedback. But I am very glad to see that Mozilla on the contrary does listen to us and their version will be better in every way. One of the benefits of their way is that in Firefox, content blockers will continue to exist in their original, more "powerful" form. Does it mean that a considerable share of users will replace Chrome with FF now? I doubt it, but there's another thing: You probably know that content blockers' work by using special sets of rules that are developed by a large community of filter lists maintainers. AdGuard filters, Easylist, uBlock filters, and so on. I bet that after Manifest V3 is enforced in Chrome all these maintainers will switch to Firefox as their primary browser since now that would be the browser they can use the full power of the content blockers in. Every time a new content blocking issue (missed ad, a tracker, whatever) is reported to them, it will be fixed in Firefox first. Will it be fixed in Chrome too? Probably, yes, but not every time. Slowly, Chrome will become a second-class citizen. And when you would need to achieve the top-notch content blocking, people will recommend you to use Firefox. Back in the day when Chrome was just launched, lack of quality ad blocking was one of the things that made many people continue to use Firefox. We may very well witness the returning of that trend.

is that the standard issue government mandated gf you guys keep going on about?
not my problem.
>manifest v3
Yet another false death-knell, same as the past two or three I've seen over the past few years. Saint Gorhill will save us. He always does.
Dumb take.
Same deal with TV ads, it just gets progressively worse over time.
Ads are just the laziest way to make a dollar off some views. It's pure greed.
I've started to disable adblock globally to support some websites I really like.
But I only allow javascript for the very top-level page only. Every script loaded from external sites are completely shut down and never to be loaded.
Deal?
why google "needs" manifest v3 shit when they could simply serve the ads from the same domain directly ?
I'm gonna miss youtube vanced so much. I still have it but they said it will stop working eventually
>This is your fault.
No. It's the fault of whoever invented (and keeps maintaining) ad blockers
>western corporations don't maximize profits without a reason
lmao
>how do they put up with it
The nigger cattle will watch anything the algorithm puts in front of them.
They don't even care what they are watching, they will just passively consume until they go to bed, get 4 hours of sleep and go to a shit job the next day. Then repeat until they die.
>Wont someone PLEASE think about the corporations!?
Kys corpo scum. This is because you think of people as consumers rather than customers. I don’t owe you shit, make a good product and MAYBE I’ll consider buying it
We're not poorfags
adblocker doesnt block invideo sponsor ads which almost every video has
firefox/addon/sponsorblock/
>retards get 5 more ads
>I continue to get 0 ads
I don't see the issue here??
>pay for "features" like background audio that were already present in the service but intentionally removed so they could charge for them
You are a faggot for supporting this behavior.
