Why is there such a disproportionate number of Indian programmers on YouTube? I mean I'm glad they are there providing these videos but a lot of the times it seems they are the only ones covering them. By extension why is programming so huge in India?

India is big into outsourcing. It's the same reason there are a lot of Indian telemarketers/call centers/scammers. It's something that can be outsourced remotely.

Pajeets got on the coding train early. Seattle is filled with software wealthy indian immigrants. I like the pajeets though they don't cause trouble.

The real question is. Why do they love Java so much?

Nothing makes me nope harder out of a video than pajeet accent. I take eastern european accent any day of the week.

After completing high school everyone's parents force their kids to either pursue medical or engineering wheather they like it or not, medical that easy to get into and also filters out brainlets and students who aren't rich, engineering on the other hand is pretty easy to get into and doesn't filters out brainlets, look up the number of engineering colleges in India there's a fuckton of them in every metropolitan city, so you have at least 1.5 million students getting an engineering degree every year, nearly 85% of them are unemployable, these WITCH companies recruit, train and outsource them so you have bad quality engineers from the start. The WITCH companies doesn't care if you're a civil or mechanical engineer they just recruit you if you're from a decent college with decent reputation so as a result you have bad engineers being outsourced as "quality engineers". The reason why you see Java tutorials is because WITCH companies use Java exclusively to build enterprises applications, look at their job postings if you don't believe, so as a result a new recruits are often trained in Java

Same here, pajeets are the main reason why I started to refer documentation and know how to debug stuff when shit hits the fan, so maybe something good came out of this.

Java is used in legacy corporate and spring, so there is a lot of work for code janitors. Spring is nice though.

Knowing programming can give you paycheck. Idians can do code with 10% of the money required from a westener. An offer most CEOs cant refuse.
