Why no fucking one thought on this?

why x11 and wayland still exists while the option of having additional file descriptors graphics and other shit was a thing?
this is a modification of st, just a prototype, here's the patch for anyone who wants to test.

Nice, at least i'm not alone. I want to bring OpenGL to st and make accelerated graphics available to terminals, so i can use them to make games and other things.

sorry i dont understand. can u explain? how and where do i find more information about it.

why posters on Any Forums writes shit like this?

>why do people have hobbies

He's using the LINUX framebuffer to draw pixels.

No, its a st terminal. I set a file descriptor from a pipe so i can send commands to st, echoing to it.

Honestly, why? How can you have joy writing things?
I won't use the term "useless", "one time only", "only for you" and other ideas that popped to my mind because I'm in no place to judge this. It's just weird to see people enjoy, well, anything actually.

are you fucking 12? is this your first brush with nihilism?
people do things they enjoy. they enjoy them because they just fuckin' do, retard. it's not your place to decide for other people what they get to enjoy.
why did i include an image of a xenomorph in a strip club? why are you looking at it? why do you want to fuck it? why are you here typing? why are you on your computer? why do you enjoy anything you enjoy? why do you keep breathing? i just don't understand why you keep bothering to breathe??

I know it sounds quite retarded but I really do wonder sometimes about that.
>it's not your place to decide for other people what they get to enjoy.
Of course, I even said that I'm not the judge here, just wondering how it works that you can build something and be happy with it.
Not touching on the nihilism aspect, I don't go into philosophy, that was just my thought.
>i just don't understand why you keep bothering to breathe??
Neither do I, looks like an automatic process to me.

>Of course, I even said that I'm not the judge here, just wondering how it works that you can build something and be happy with it.
you don't understand creativity? you don't understand why it's fun to learn about something and then apply your knowledge to create something that you like? really?
maybe the dude just thought it would be neat. maybe he wanted to know how file descriptors worked. maybe he wanted to know how drawing worked before graphical environments took over. who cares.

kys nihilistic retard because whats the point? fucking absolute waste of oxygen.

if you asked why as in what's the reason, you got your answer, technology is a hobby
if you asked why as in what's the point, there's no real answer and you're just talking to yourself really

i dont understand what am i supposed to be looking at
you ask why x11 still exists, then you use some st shit to draw rectangles on screen
well st will not run without x11 because it uses it, therefore i dont understand what the fuck are you even on about sorry

okay OP, here is a quiz
what do you think st uses for drawing on the screen
>libX11
>ancestral connection to TempleOS
>the power of lambda calculus
hint: this is not a multiple choice question

Doesn't plan9 do something like this?

easily the most autistic thing I've seen on Any Forums in a while, I love it.

Don't Kitty and Alacritty both use gpu acceleration already? If you really want to improve things for terminal gaming, then come up with a way to make it so terminals can register key-up events, including over ssh.

>the option of having additional file descriptors graphics and other shit was a thing
Modern Linux graphics uses file descriptors for a bunch of shit, including the GPU itself and individual graphics buffers. File descriptors aren't some magical mystic shit.
In fact, st is using X11 protocol garbage, which is like the opposite of that.
