Now I want Broadcom to be bought by Qualcomm

>install linux in VM
>virtual broadcom network adapter
>no connection

That would give the comms too much power

based

I think it's going to bankrupt Broadcom. Everyone just pirates VMware products. They are the WinRAR of virtual machines. I've never met a company who cared more about the product and less about money. Broadcom might ruin a good time but all good things have to end I suppose.

Why the fuck are they going to bankrupt themselves over a literal dinosaur company

>Install virtual box.
>No dynamic resizing of screen.
>No dynamic mouse support.
>No dynamic clip board support.

>Install VMware
>have nothing to complain about besides what this user said

Because VMware is not profitable. Nobody is buying their products. Everyone either already has a license or they just run the keygen, and the moralfags just run the free VMware player. They've been -3% earnings each month for like 8 years now.

Doesn't help that they're super woke and burn money like they're freezing to death

Use GNU+Linux PVE+KVM+LXC

>Everyone just pirates VMware products
have you considered that VMware sell companies products, and that companies buy them because they need support, warranties, invoices and stuff?
They probably don't give a fuck about the autists pirating them for their shitty homeserver in their basement

>been -3% earnings each month for like 8 years now.
Damn, I thought they were doing well. Even Dell offers VMWare pre-installed on their servers. Figured that would have generated a decent income considering the number of servers Dell moves.

you know vmware is more than its desktop products, right

Lots of people don't and thats the fault of no one but vmware. The marketing at the company is dog

>have you considered ... companies
no, because this is the unemployable autist forum

we've just spent $1M in new esxi 7 servers, please don't fuck up

What does vmware even do now? Doesn't Docker do the same thing and much faster and lighter? Why do we even need vmware?

where do you think docker containers run in the real world?

Workspace ONE is fairly big.
Carbon Black as well.

Both getting somewhat shafted by Microsoft alternatives however

>Buy Windows
>Built-in Hypervisor
>Run anything you want on it
>Zero additional cost
or
>Install Linux
>Pick any of these hypervisors you want
>Run anything you want on it
>Zero cost at all
or
>Buy VMware for a fuckton of money
>Have to deal with licenses
>Have to renew licenses

Or, download latest VMWare workstation, google license key, disable LAN adapter, enter key, activated forever...
