We've gotten to a point where Android (implying Android 12) is locked-down almost as bad as iOS, but mobile GNU/Linux is neither usable nor widespread. Sad! I really hoped that usable mobile GNU/Linux would arrive faster. Also, Android on tablets sucks as much as in 2010.
Guess I'll use my Android 11 (LineageOS 18.1) phone a few more years and then switch to GNU/Linux phone.
In what way do you think Android 12 is more locked-down than Android 11 and even similar to iOS? A12 even lets third party app stores update on their own.

Off topic, does anyone have an idea about why my media control buttons are not visible in the notification? I should have never updated from 12.

>mobile GNU/Linux is neither usable nor widespread SailfishOS and Ubuntu Touch have been usable for almost a decade now. They just lack market share.

>adb reboot bootloader >fastboot oem unlock >fastboot reboot >adb install magisk.apk >(magisk > make patched_boot.img) >(reboot) >fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img >fastboot reboot And now you can do whatever the fuck you want. This procedure hasn't changed for years now.
