I'm actually trying to use youtube as little as possible even with 3rd party delivery methods. Unfortunately the newpipe devs are a bunch of faggots and they refuse to add lbry and bitchute to the app even though someone submitted pull requests with these features. They cited the prevalemce of extremism and conspiracy theories om those platforms, not taking into consideration that youtube has more of that type of content. This will be their demise. But on desktop I don't have this issue. I will probably just make a media server that downloads a month of my subscriptions and I'll be done with yt and newpipe then.

It's weird to me that when I found a more convenient way to watch YouTube without the algorithm junk, I became less of a YouTube addict. Switching to FreeTube on my desktop did wonders for that.
