Why don't case manufacturers support 5.25 bays anymore?
The only thing preventing me from changing my 15 year old case is the lack of 5.25 drive support
Fucking zoomers I swear
Why don't case manufacturers support 5.25 bays anymore?
Get a 10 dollar usb cd/dvd drive and move the fuck on.
Sharkoon V1000 still comes with one
Why would I spend money to replace something that works perfectly
I am never letting go of my Phanteks enthoo pro (with metal side panel)
If you changed cases it wouldn't work then.
That's the point you fucking retard there are millions of people who still rely on legitimate optical drives who would benefit from cases with proper bays
Because you're stupid and not looking for cases with those bays.
I just bit the bullet and bought an external enclosure. Worth it.
Nice, but does it have a version without a solid side panel?
>millions of people who still rely on legitimate optical drives
Doubt
HAHA.
As I said all your problems would disappear with an additional 10 dollars at checkout
Honestly its not a con to move to a smaller case, its really nice having a mini itx case thats silent and takes up 1/10th the space on your desk over the mainframe mega itx monolithic monstrosity we all hold near and dear.
Looks like I'm not spending an extra 10 dollars chink nigger
I just share a dvd drive over the network of a racked computer.
OH NOES I HAD TO AD A NETWORK DRIVE!
I don't think I've touched an optical drive in years, if I did buy one the only purpose would be to archive blu-rays or something.
Mine's literally used to just rip CDs for archiving and dump UHDs, BDs, and DVDs for encoding and uploading to a private tracker.
>buy usbs
>put it on a usb
>its faster????
I built a PC just last week with a 5.25 bay and installed a Blu-Ray drive in it.
Come on man.

Define 7 is a great case if you don't plan on pushing the CPU/GPU since the front panel is pretty sealed off.
>Why don't case manufacturers support 5.25 bays anymore?
Where are you looking? Can find hundreds …
>the only purpose would be to archive blu-rays
yes most of us just rip blurays. or if you have valuable data that would fit in 25gb it's one more form of backup.
yeah pay extra 30+ on a meme case great idea.
I thought chromebooks were the most retarded idea ever but thinking how normalfags uses computer, it makes sense to store everything in cloud
I will just keep using my 15 year old case until nigger manufacturers come around
