I miss this lil' nigga like you wouldn't believe.
I miss this lil' nigga like you wouldn't believe
I think that’s the burbank one, surprised it lasted this long, considering the literal hells ape it was in
Aussie here I miss radioshack dick smith's electrical wow jaycar and tandies all died within a decade of each other
Sure jaycar and dse are technically still alive but jaycar is especially shit they can't even order in 3dprint heads and their catalogue is tiny now even compared to dse
Thinking back I don't really miss them you'd pay a 50% mark up just to cover these morons rent
wrong again, Mackenzie. That's Phoenix.
why does it look like a rainforest cafe
why do you ask so many dumb questions?
because us bongs dont have disney down's syndrome looking buildings
that's the first question i asked
You're thinking of the one in Manhattan Beach
Woodland Hills Alice in Wonderland Fry's was GOAT though
The sterile ass Mediamarkts over here should give it a try
Incredible Universe was better.
that's a legit response. actually based.
I tried to get a job here in around 2004. they offered me 25 cents an hour above minimum wage and said "that extra 25 cents is because we expect maximum effort from you". I turned 360 degrees and marched right back out of there.
>Woodland Hills Alice in Wonderland Fry's was GOAT though
this. such an amazing store. Made no sense.
im so pissed at the boomer owners for running it into the ground
it was profitable but they decided to end it like that instead of selling it
fuck them so hard i miss that store so badly
umm, actually sweetie, they had inventory issues for 2 years prior as they could not get favorable deals from merchants as AMZN was crushing all the price points.
No merchandise, stores needed to close. And they are holding or selling the land, as they own all that shit. No leases.
Pretty sure its the Phoenix one. Im hoping they turn the space into a Microcenter lol. Sucks not having a pc parts store anywhere in fucking AZ
You don't realize how big of a loss this is until you have a wine fridge fan go out and you think "I can just pick up a 90mm fan at fry's...ah shit".
thanks amazon
inventory issues that they more or less decided to let happen because they refused to negotiate with some chinese shipments directly, even though they reached out to them
it literally died due to boomer laziness and for no other reason, you can read up on it and there is some weird shit that happened towards the end, it was obvious they wanted to collapse it and suck out the rest of the finances in a similar death to sears
send them emails to come here I've been doing so, tell them how the market niche is fucking empty and we're dying
I always hated how out of the way these stores were so you had to make it an all day trek to visit one, then they refused to match internet prices despite all the signs because amazon and Newegg was just too competitive, then they started counting the price of shipping into their price matches, none of their staff ever knew anything about what they were selling, i pretty much only ever bought storage media from there until they quietly did that "let's stop paying our suppliers" thing that got them blacklisted from every tech supplier, over past due invoices on merch.
No lmao, Burbank was alienz themed, shit was cash. Microcenter is cool and all, but where are the velociraptors fighting the aliens? How else will I be lured into buying PC parts in a brick and mortar store? How times have changed.
