macos for your question, but ubuntu (the only competitor) will forever be comfier and cheaper (heh), ironically easier to use ios/ipados with ubuntu as it now comes with libimobiledevice without using itunes for media/file transfers

Basically just a matter of its competition getting worse and less stable while it got easier and more stable/capable on similar hardware. I run fedora on my desktop and macos on this laptop, this thing actually took more fucking with it on my end to get running acceptably because I had to disable thunderbolt-related system services to keep it from having random kernel panics during normal usage, requiring multiple reboots and needing to know my way around a unix command line.

Haven't had KDE krash on the desktop yet, though in recent years I have run into little weird bugs getting everything set up on first boot. Anyone who tries to convey any OS as being truly free of bugs is 100% a shill.
