are dual monitors a meme?
why not just get 1 good monitor and then save the money for a better gpu?

it's comfy

guys yesterday i cleaned my cpu fan and after putting it back on, my pc wont load past the bios screen wtf

Reseat CPU.

Did that. Also tried reset bios but still turns off by itself.

My PC makes one beep which means BIOS is POSTing correctly. Could ot be a CPU issue? I cant even check CPu temperature because my PC randomly shuts down

randomly shutting down sounds more like a PSU thing
make sure all the plugs are in properly, some might have dislodged a tiny bit while cleaning the cpu fan

Yep Ive tried that.

weird, hard to RMA if cant even figure out which is the problem
if it was me and i wanted to be an asshole, i'd take advantage of amazon's return policy and "borrow" an alternate CPU
if it's the CPU, then RMA the defective CPU and then return the amazon CPU later on

realistically a local PC store probably has some service where they can check with their CPU
really shitty problem since the most obvious suspects didnt work

Just refund it user

how retarded would buying a 2nd monitor from the same brand/design be for my dual monitor setup?
purely because of the brand/design so it would be match, there is no rtings review on this
money is not an issue but I'm starting to feel stupid because I could have just put the money into a better GPU and just get a single 4K 120hz monitor or something

I can still return the 2nd monitor but not the midrange GPU anymore

guys what should I pick?

180€ for 6500XT
310€ for 1660 Super
330€ for 3050

I don't really play many AAA games but everyone seems to disencourage the 6500 with 4GB ram only. I have a PCIE 4.0 compatible pc and my current GPU was a 580 8GB.

My PSU was making too much fan noise so I bought a new one (Focus GX650). But now every time I turn it on it makes a single clicking noise and it wont power on. Tried booting with only the mobo connected and it did turn on. Any ideas what the issue might be? Its exactly the same wattage as my old psu.

you can play a game on the main screen and watch youtube on a secondary screen.

i already do that with my laptop -> watch a stream of someone play a game while i also play game
i guess because i have ADHD or something probably

i guess i can do this so i can give my laptop to my mom since she needs an upgrade

hmm my build is pre-built from 8 years ago. i think i might have broken thr push down pins when trying to put cpu fan back on

ah that sucks, you can prob get the same CPU for $30 off ebay *if you're 100% sure it's the CPU* otherwise it could just be a moneypit of issues

it's prob better to just take this chance to upgrade when the 5600x is like $200 now and even cheaper for the 12400f and regular 5600, your GPU still works anyways I assume

Another benefit is that it saves you from having to switch the input devices (mouse, keyboard)

Absolutely normal to have the same monitors in dual monitor setup. but you can also have one main monitor and another smaller one. Always a good (if somewhat bourgeois) idea to have the same brands or designs so it looks more cohesive :)

that is true, I was using dual mouse at some point until I got tired and right now I'm using my laptop docked into my old monitor (so I could actually do triple monitor setup but it's a shitty TN 60hz monitor so no)
my old PC i gave away to my dad already
my new PC i'm in no hurry to finishing setting up (fixing cables, havent replaced the stock cooler with the fuma 2 i just received this week yet) will prob start binging this weekend

dunno why is it that I already have all the PC parts, tested already and working but I'm not excited to play games on it yet

Nevermind, it was the new psu not wanting to work with the old sata cables connected to my drives. Fucking jews.

thx user for giving me reaffirmation :)

i guess the endgame anyways is a 4K OLED monitor, a pair of matching monitors would prob look better on each side of a large 4K 120hz monitor in the future when GPUs are strong and cheap enough to power it on my next upgrade

Anyone have opinions on this. I really want to pull the trigger on something before everything is sold out here. The 1660 super is labelled as factory second if it makes a difference.

who knows, maybe zuckerberg will be projecting the metaverse into your optic nerve in a few years.
