Why do you code? for money? for self-interest/hobby? because you're an outcast? autism? remote job opportunity?
purely as a hobby, I work in the legal field so I don't really have a future with programming. But I use it to make my life easier sometimes
>why do you code?
I was born a programmer.
For you and for us!
I code because it's what you have to do to create software. I create software for money and because I like it.
I code because it's the only thing I know how to do well and it pays the bills.
I code because it's the only thing I know how to do well enough to make something useful.
Money. Also gaymes.
>for money?
No as I don't have a coding job...
>for self-interest/hobby?
yes
>because you're an outcast?
yes
>autism?
yes
>remote job opportunity?
Probably not happening since I'm 33 :(
>so you code for all the lame reasons?
basically
>33
I'm 37, still trying to get that sweet remote work. Someday, maybe... I had an interview yesterday, but it could have gone better.
Good luck, user
>why do you code?
I started completely out of self-interest / as a hobby. Didn't even know that software jobs paid a lot or anything, never thought about it.
>for money?
>autism?
>remote job opportunity?
These are all things I also enjoy about it now that I also do it as a job. To clarify, work is boring, it's more so the things you work on that make programming interesting not programming itself.
all of the above
Even Asian women?
>self
self.sex = female
error: sex is not re-assignable
had pre-screen interview today with amazon guy, was pretty cool
> I code for Asian women
Can you elaborate?
Aren’t there Asian women in software dev… ? Right ? Haha ?
Right user... women
autism
started as a hobby, still my hobby but now I get paid for.
For all these reasons.
>33
