You have some options depending on your setup. If you have a desktop, look into installing better fans or switching to a more lightweight OS (or maybe getting rid of all the bloated applications on it). if it's a laptop, then you should probably just get a small form-factor computer and build a NAS (micro ATX or even a single board computer). Either way, find a long-term solution that doesn't depend on a monthly service.
