Close and minimize window really doesn't make any sense to me. Can someone give me a usecase?

Close: you close the current window. If it's a single-window process, the application exits. (Or should but devs are often retards)
Hide: minimizes the current window, removing it from the window overview to reduce clutter. It's almost the same as in windows, except the window can be still seen in the windows overview for winshit
The app almost never exits though and through a bit of mac tech support I've done for family (regular users) they always have every possible app on the dock open in the background. Some are lifelong mac users so it's not a win -> mac habitual thing I think.
Hide makes sense for minimizing windows but why not just go into the icon? Why have an extra small window all the way on the right in the dock for an app that already has an icon on the left?

>The app almost never exits though
As I said, you have to thank retarded devs for that. Good companies (jetbrains for example) exit the app properly

Ahh now I got what you mean. Yeah that's bloat, most people disable this feature. It's for normies tards who don't know how to find the minimized window in the context menu again
I used my SO's macbook for a couple weeks in college and I really liked dockview which basically replicates win functionality.
This and unironically
Is the daily attention farm?
pretty much, yes
If they tried to adapt to existing conventions, i am sure their conversion rate would improve
I've pretty much been forced into quitting by cnnd-q by muscle memory by the time I quit using macos. At least the green button doesn't just bring the window up to like 30% of your screen width anymore.

My favorite is the handful of programs that decide to be always on top and you can't do anything to prevent it.
Finder doesn't find
>I'm a special snowflake tranny so everything should be different from the de-facto standard that exists for a damn good reason
>I want my OS to be stuck in the 80s because lol it's not Windows
Seriously, what is the point of even having a close button if you have to press Control+Left Click (because there's no right click) and then select Quit from the menu anyway. That's like if Windows made you go into Task Manager every time you wanted to close a program. Yeah there are programs that stiill run in the system tray and that's annoying, but usually unless it's some malware program like an antivirus you can disable that "feature". Linux is best because barely anything runs in the background after you close it.
When in England, speak as the English do, etc. etc. etc.

well, hate to break it to you, but it doesnt have to
