bump

I bought a bunch of hardware stuff (a couple high tier guitar pedals, a new digital synth, and a analogue mixing board). Its helped me realize that, most of the stuff that connects to me in music, are the effects and how they can improve the music so drastically.

vocaroo.com/1coFXh7BxBbM

In here, all i have are my two synths, one is running through the Empress Reverb and man, it just sounds amazing. Im not saying the music is amazing, or complex in anyway but it feels like just having good FXs, can push your music to a whole new level, does anyone else feel this way?

Effects are kinda like toppings on dessert. It won't make up for the dish being bad but it can make a dish all that more good.

thats what I thoguht as well but the more money i spend on this hobby, the more it feels like, even if you have a shitty vst, pairing it up with a good saturator/compressor and reverb/delay, can make it sound much more expensive. If that makes any sense,

Somebody motivate me to get out of bed and make music pls ;___;

(Bump)

Get up or I swear I will punch you in the liver so goddamn hard it's going to look nothing like a human organ afterwards.

New beta of the DSP56300 emulator is out
futurenoize.com/dsp56300/builds/master/beta/

My liver has demonstrated that it lives up to the regenerative ability they are generally known for.
I can’t believed you picked one of the three wrong organs to threat

If you don't get out of bed and music, you will start slipping so hard that you become me and your music will only exist in your dreams.
(, _ , )

Keep that momentum going.

.... I will get up, but not because I’m afraid of having the sudden ability to play piano, thanks

Oh

heh ;)
I'm going to lock myself in a room with only my laptop running Renoise and the cd Samples samples this coming weekend. No internet.
I'm feelin' it..

damn bout to get crazy ;)))

Clueless user here. I want to start getting into music production as a hobby.
Is investing in an Akai Mpk Mini and an FL Studio Producer Edition license a good start? or should I pirate the software?

>or should I pirate the software?
Your decision, if you want to then do it. Personally I'd pirate anything software and invest in hardware first since that you can't pirate.

this vst gives me a raging erection. it's very good.

I suck at making beats bros.

I was making music for about 1 year on my computer and just yesterday I bought a synth because life was hell with a mouse.

But then I am unable to move my hand fast enough to make proper beats using a synth.

The beats and drums make sense in my head but then when I actually press the keys its slow af, out of tempo and sounds shit.

What do I need to do to improve this? Do I have Assburgur?

pro tip: work with what you got. If what you're doing sounds shit try something else. I doubt you only have one musical influence

Reposting from last thread
Does anyone know how to recreate the synth stab/pizzicato string from this?

Any free VSTs (preferably for mac) I can use to make this sound?

yeah i get your point but sometimes I feel like my mind doesn't comprehend the rhythm and shit.
What do I need to do so the beats will come naturally to me?
