Friendly reminder you CAN convert a youtube channel to RSS, you can grab a feed with this script.

why do it like this? There is another way you can do it. I have this in my .newsboat/urls

I like your idea of using curl though. What I do right now is
1. find channel
2. click on "page source"
3. ctrl + f "channelId"
4. append channel id to youtube.com

The script is to grab the xml RSS part automatically, ready to paste it somewhere, also notice youtube no longer shows you the id of the channel.
