no linux rgb support, suck with lgbt colours now

Why do you think MSI is bad?

Biostar. MSI make great motherboards.

All of my RGB hardware is supported by OpenRGB on Linux. Which I use to turn it all off, naturally.

Not OP, I just posted this a couple days ago in a different thread but -
Only two times in my life I've gotten a component DOA has both been from MSI. Once a motherboard with a dead north bridge out of the box, and again a few years later with a 1660S graphics card.
MSI, never again.

>buy GAYMEN motherboard from MSI
>Windows 10 splashscreen shows prominently MAG, MEG or MPG on some 'industrial' background instead of a basic MSI logo

Why is OP the worst?

>OP never bought a Gigabyte mobo

PNY do not buy

I'm more for Gigabyte. I don't know if they changed much since z390 but the BIOS is crap. Other than that don't buy brands, buy products. There isn't a single hardware manufacturer who didn't release a shitty or mediocre product.

my thoughts exactly. How is the BIOS so crap ?

Why's that? I've only had gigabyte motherboard and all lasted me 7+ years. I only ever sold them cause the cpu's got too old

Just disable it

How
What's the replacement logo

old gigabyte ≠ nu-gigabyte
their new shit is all garbage
only their top end products are ok

it's funny, the only time i have ever had issues with motherboards was with ASROCK instead of msi. two motherboards that just die after 4-5 years of standard as fuck use and just stop working one day for literally zero reason.

msi never did this to me.

kek who ever sees their splash screen? you press the power butt, fetch a cup of coffee from the kitchen and when you’re back your desktop has long been waiting for you

I'm sure to an extent it's just "luck of the draw". I've had good experiences with Asus and Gigabyte, though I've heard MANY times over the years that Asus has some of the worst customer service out of any mobo manufacturer - luckily I've just never had to use their support.

I've been putting together computers for close to 10 years and the only time I've ever gotten a DOA product was with Asus. I've used every brand at this point.

i mean even beyond luck of the draw for things like reliability, msi's bios is just plain good right now, and their utility software in the form of msi center (formerly dragon center) is now 100% light weight on system resources in comparison to the shit asus is forcing on users, allowing for installable modules so you only download what you want/need. i went through 3 different manufacturers before i found one that didn't have forced system bloat that actually functioned properly.

Gigabyte gigashite
Their gpus and everything else is horrid

I agree their software has always been decent, like Afterburner, I just didn't have as much luck with quality control on their hardware side of things.
