Mozilla is dependent on volunteer labor to the point where firefox would die instantly if all the ones who do it for free stopped. All localization is done by volunteers, 99% of bug handling and regression finding is done by volunteers as well, its pretty funny

My firefox benchmark is this

load up every single page, see if firefox is even fucking responsive, and let it sit for 10 minutes, then close every tab, then close all the tabs with 1 google tab open so firefox doesnt fully close.
how much ram is still being used
and there's my benchmark, chrome gives almost everything up, firefox will give up about 20% and still run 10-15gb fatter.
once this changes I can take firefox as a serious option, till than its just non viable.

The V8 JS engine makes anything that is JS heavy (pretty much every modern website/webapp) run better on Chromium based browsers than in Firefox.

This is a known problem, SpiderMonkey has problems with bloated frameworks like React and Angular so Mozilla created a benchmark called matrix-react to make it easier to measure and improve the engine

Motherfucking pixiv wont let me me sign in using just the email based pixiv account I made years ago. It just doesn't show the email field, just sign in with twitter, facebook etc. I feel fucking dirty using edge just to view lewds.

Pixiv is the worst fucking website I regularly use. It's unresponsive and slow. They use cloudflare but forbid all relevant content from being cached.
I made an alternative Frontend for it and redirect all links ppl send me to that.
Also added video conversion (THEY ZIP JPEGs AS THEIR ANIMATION FORMAT), an RSS Feed, scrolling view and proper embeds.
