>be senior dev with actual real experience >CV coincidentally contains every skill required in the job description >literally a perfect fit >no pic or age in the cv >send application >expect to at least receive a phone call >days later >receive generic rejection: "dear user. unfortunately blah blah. this is an automated mail, do not reply" >months later, read on the news "companies can't find candidates! 6 gorillion workers demanded!" Bros, do not fall for the booming tech market meme. There are no such jobs. It is all lies. It is an employer market, and they only hire indian slaves.
If you want to code for a living, just unlearn some English, tan your skin and move to India.
>resume sucks cock >the employers are all liars sucks to be you lmao
Jose Sanchez
Not true, I got a $600,000 FAANG job out of college WFH and only do 46 minutes of work a week Just learn2code
Levi Taylor
I receive 10+ messages a week with job offers, from time to time I enter interview pipeline to keep my interviewing skills sharp and received few offers, but I didn't quit my job yet, cause current job is too comfy sucks to be you I guess
Jonathan Brown
I doubt the (probably female) HR bitch has read it.
Jordan Brown
more like n+=1. i.e. many such cases
Camden Smith
Take a fucking picture and make a linkdein profile, it's that easy. Also lift.
Oliver Williams
Not true, i got a $69,420,000,000,000 job at Mapplesoft the moment i showed up at uni, all i do is sweep the floor once a week. Just learn2code.
Henry Watson
Imagine entering your data into a social network owned by M$.
Easton Sullivan
Well OP had a problem with a clear solution, if you want to play the privacy game then clearly employment shouldn't be a primary concern.
Austin Myers
>unwanted random recruiter spam is the solution lies
This. People pushing LinkedIn as a solution are like the boomers who tell you to just show up to the office and not take no for an answer. LinkedIn used to be useful. Those days have long passed.
Camden Gomez
fuck off back to Any Forums racist
Julian Bell
then what's the alternative?
Parker Mitchell
You have to get to know people and leverage personal networks. The days of the spergs are coming to and end.
Eli Gutierrez
how qualified do you even need for an entry level position? I'm sitting here in my bedroom working on random projects. And because I thought I lacked experience with huge projects so I started working on open source crap.
I see people here say that they don't expect much from newbies but the interviews have been incredibly demanding so far, its just stupid leetcode and time complexity crap which I have not had a hard time with.
Grayson Long
We WILL hire euros and poos for $30k. They WILL suck my cock for the opportunity. There’s NOTHING you can do about it. NOBODY cares that you live in america and you feel entitled to a 60k+ salary. It is NOT my problem. At all.
Bentley Wright
and how do you meet such people? as a CSfag i haven't met nothing but normies who are in for the money, people who that went into it because they use discord and play vidya and some Any Forums spergs
William Reed
At least you get to the interview, satan. I'm getting discarded even before that. How is this world not gay.
shit man then it's gotta be your resume. also mayby you need to tokenize yourself a bit, usually they will ask some shit about your sexuality and race. You could lie and say Hispanic asexual
Kayden Brooks
also the anons saying LinkedIn are right. I had an HR droid tell me to make one and get atleast 200 connections.
Bentley Perez
> i haven't met nothing but normies who are in for the money Working for someone is a fucking business transaction and nothing more. If you assume it's something more, or are buying into the corporate "we are a family" bullshit, you're getting played. You want to write software that you give a shit about, do open source work on your own time. You want a roof over your head and food in your stomach, grow the fuck up and stop looking for meaning in a commercial transaction.
Jack Jackson
The resume is already PERFECT. It is the world the one being wrong.
I applied for a company and had some interviews and they said everything was going good then I got ghosted so I emailed them and they said something like "you're not a good fit", and 2 years later they are still looking for developers, and I ended up going to FAGMAN. I guess it worked out since I'm making double what they were advertising but I actually like the company and used their product all the time
Jaxson Rogers
I can already tell without knowing anything about you or your history with computers/programming why you aren't getting a job based on your posts alone. Instead of demoralizing others, you could work on improving yourself and getting a job.
Isaiah White
post it my guy. don't forget to expunge identifying info
Jaxon Hall
chill. by those normies i mean the ones that have absolutely no clue about it. the ones that get filtered by calculus and for loops. obviously you won't work at something meaningful or totally enjoyable for a living, but i guess it has to be at least bearable for you. also it doesn't answer my question.
Isaac Wood
>Applies to one place >Rejected >Assume entire job market is a hoax It's possible you were simply late in submitting your application, maybe they were already in the offer phase with someone else. Could be they already had someone lined up internally to take the role but policy dictates they have to post it publicly anyway. Maybe something happened and they didn't have the budget for the position anymore. There are a million reasons why any one company might turn down the "perfect" applicant.
