Can't believe I had to resort to this beause Windows no longer comes with the movie maker.

VEGAS Pro 14, it's amazing but hardware acceleration is deprecated with newer GPU drivers.

Shotcut, I dont need more atm and supports literally everything

openshot or windows movie maker
both are terry a davis approved

Davinci Resolve.
Before that Kdenlive.
Both are pretty good in my experience.

Blender
Although I'd like to know if there are better foss alternatives

Premiere Pro
I'm not sure I really like it honestly.
The good thing is there are tutorials for everything.

really is excellent and underrated. made a lot of videos with that.

Davinci Resolve, took the jump after sony vegas rendering was slow as in rendering with my gpu. Worth it.

You're using that word wrong again user.

I think davinci's still the most accessible one. It has some wonky shit with audio rendering in compound/nested clips though so always duplicate your timeline and decompose everything before rendering.

Davinci Resolve for video; Affinity Suit for images and documents.

This is the correct answer. Sage.

For the very few instances that I edit any videos, it'd have to be shotcut (shill), because I don't need any fancy effects and only ever do quick clips/cuts/stitches.
Whatever works best for you, though user.
