Anyone just say fuck it about targeted advertising and tracking paranoia and downloaded all the apps to get free food and discounts? I'm kind of on the verge of doing so.

Don't do it, weakling.
the free food is a trick to get you to order/visit more often than you otherwise would. These companies higher teams of psychologist and statisticians that are far smarter than you in a concerted effort to make more money from you.
The pathway to hell is paved with convenience.
Then again I already gave away all my information trying to score a free iPod back in '05 or '06.
>higher
Yes because that tracking doesn't actually negatively effect me.
I don't even know if it's working because I block all ads
I've been awake for about 30 minutes, that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
man I sure could eat a Big MacĀ® right now
We are the mere of yer marketing big wigs
This is the real motivation. Same with all "reward programs" for stores. You are far more likely to return many times if you have it in your head "I'll earn points here and not there"
Whatever you do don't sign up for a credit card from some store either, or else you're tying your credit health to giving them money

b.. but, free fries.
I walked out of a chipotle yesterday because they put up signs saying 'online orders only' and the cashie was just sitting there looking at me
Kind of did similar ... Taco Bell the other day wanted me to order via the kiosk. So I left. Though I guess it really wouldn't have been much different than ordering at the counter and paying with a card which I've done before (Pandemic summer when everything was lava. Will say just swiping my card was fucking convenient.)
You just have to not fall for the trick
left a store when they wanted to charge 50% extra because i didnt have their loyalty card or some shit i wasnt signing up for (yes, the prices listed were fake, essentially to blackmail hungry / awkward people into signing up)
no because i'm not american and don't eat junk food every meal.
Yes. If the feds or ad companies want my info badly enough they'll get it so it's a waste of my time trying to "hide" it. As long as I'm not getting spammed with robo-calls/texts then I really don't give a shit
>what about email?
You guys do have a designated junk email account, right?
i have and i dont care since i use adblockers everywhere
Already know everything about you at this point
>free food and discounts
How poor are you?
Me. Ads good if they make me save money.
