display technology just isnt fucking there yet, everything except for e-ink is cancer in outdoor settings. I even bought a toughbook with a transflective LCD. while it was slightly more readable in direct sunlight it washes the colors out so hard i couldnt even tell the difference in colors on a terminal with a high contrast color scheme. until color e-ink has a 15 to 30hz refresh rate its just gonna be a painful experience to use. we are getting close though.
