how many languages have been invented to fix c?
did they kill c?
Alexander Jenkins
Well, C is kind of dead where C++ can be used instead. The linux world being the exception.
Thought in recent years it feels like there's been kind of a resurgence of C.
Andrew Perry
I think you underestimate just how entrenched enterprise software is with the java ecosystem. even if every company today decided to never write another thing in java, it would still take several decades to die. Other languages built on top of the JVM are gaining popularity, but in the end they will still call java libraries and utilize the java ecosystem.
