Why do Linux users on Any Forums ignore the fact that Linux desktop environments are inherently less responsive than that of macOS?
Why do Linux users on Any Forums not explain that the reason they use "tiling window managers" is partially because that is the only way a Linux desktop can behave responsively? Yes, this is also why Linux users tend to be absolutely OBSESSED with finding a "faster" desktop environment, or replacing a window manager with another window manager, or trying to debloat their OS as much as possible due to the complete lack of optimization in Linux desktop environments.
Why do Linux users not admit that Linux is still objectively not fit to be a mainstream desktop OS because of this lack of responsiveness in their desktop UI's and that it is still, at best, a server OS?
I have used every major Linux OS on my desktop and I'm sorry, but macOS is dramatically more responsive than any of the Linux distros I have used.
I am willing to bet that some Linux users on Any Forums will confirm and admit this is this the case.
>inb4 it's fast shut up >inb4 werks for me >inb4 constant lying about how Linux desktops are fast
How about just admitting that Linux desktop environments need to be completely redone instead of acting as if Linux is ready for mainstream adoption? Not even major companies use Linux as an everyday desktop OS except to use for programming and other text-related work.

Well, for the most part I believe the only issues I have on linux are related to DEs and display servers really. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's unusable, but no DE can currently satisfy me the way either Windows or macOS can if that makes any bit of sense. There's more choice, yes, but none of which are a complete thing, so to speak. I have a choice between GNOME, KDE, MATE, Cinnamon, XFCE and some others. They're all quite flawed. The most "polished" desktops I've used were MATE and GNOME. The one with most features I would want is KDE. But none of these can get what others provide, it's a weird thing. It's similar to display servers, you have xorg that just works except when it doesn't because you have a more modern display setup. You have wayland that attempts to fix that but it's on a very shaky ground which limits those DE choices to only two, or I'd say one really, because KDE is not all that great on it.
I think indeed something has to redone in the DE department, but without relying on GTK or Qt for decorations. It might be an issue where people can't just easily "rice" their stuff but at the end of the day what matters is that you have a desktop that's simple to use, responsive, has the features the average user would want and is stable. macOS does have that despite being called a toy OS, it's not perfect but it's still far more complete than something like GNOME and far less janky than KDE, while also being more modern than other DEs. I only object against how it "looks" currently, but again, that's secondary. Windows has some issues, but I think the desktop (on 10, not a fan of what 11 did with the taskbar) is honestly just what anyone would ever need and that's it.

Because you're poor, autistic and contrarian. It's that simple - there's no deep lore, no matter how much you pretend there is.

It's very simple, OP: >Windows PC sucks >Install loonix distro of preference (for free) >Linux PC doesn't suck >Keep shitposting on Any Forums
What's so hard to understand?
Mason Cox
>Keep shitposting on Any Forums So it's just to fit in with a bunch of losers you don't know on a containment board. That is a really, really dumb reason to hobble your computer - probably the only thing you have that's worth more than $20.

I've been a ubuntufag for a decade and I'm happy. macOS is a children's toy, and unless you install homebrew and remove all the permission locks it's not really your machine
