stash, but its designed for porn

>send videos over http
so you just want a httpd daemon with a file listing

Just add Kodi into the mix and you're good to go.

how do I setup a user password?

Why do you need a password on your own network?

should i run it in a container?

Who cares, you're not exposing it over the Interwebs.
But if you want to tinker, by all means, do it.

Dont do it, he is trolling you.

minidlna

is it because of the 9front hack?

The what?
Source?

What's the advantage over a simple httpd? I guess this would actually be supported natively by some TVs, but you should never connect those to the network anyway.

>like a server thats just sends videos over htttps?
Actual question is about the client side. Kodi for example can play thru NFS/samba/http.

Works on my roku

Problem is this:
>MiniDLNA might not support choosing audio tracks, subtitles, disk chapters, list sorting, and other advanced playback features for your player model
Does that actually work? Because if not it's pretty much useless. Is there no Kodi for that thing?

>Manufacturers of Roku have implemented strict limitations on the device. According to these limitations, you can not install third-party apps in it.
What a piece of shit.
