Holy shit I feel like a genius, thank you Any Forums for teaching me how to actually use a computer. 90% of normies probably can't do something like that

omg you're literally me! I fucking LOVE science

can you not just turn wifi off and on again? turning it off should turn the network card off as well

Now imagine the same problem, but on linux

No I tried turning wifi off and on again at first, didn't change a thing. I figured device manager would do it and here I am

Windows - It Just Might Work.

You can't have windows problems on linux, silly.

you should have wi-fi off always for bigger battery life

>Imagine
That's all you can do. Make shit up.

:FeelsGoodMan:

Why the fuck are you even using wifi on a desktop? I know some itx builds use wifi but still, why not just use wired internet?

1. couldnt be bothered to run a cable
2. it's basically just as fast
3. the wifi card comes with bluetooth included so i can send files to my phone

I remember an issue introduced on an adapter that popped up out of nowhere. The place where you check adapter related properties (tcp/ip, ipv4/6, it's a thing you can add or remove items in the box...) had a filter added? It was some wifi filter but the odd thing was that it was applied to my Ethernet adapter (this computer never had onboard wireless) and I think an update added it.

I should punch you in the fucking mouth for posting a picture of Barq's when Mug is clearly superior.

4. you live with a woman

hmmm seems like qualcomm doesn't have mature winblows drivers. am I right in saying atheros is the way to go?

GNU/Linux doesnt have this problem

>install linux mint cinnamon
>no networking
>check the ethernet cable
>it's plugged in
boot back into windows

>didnt install network drivers
congratulations, you're retarded and need a babysitter to do everything for you

>hurr durr loonix dusn't suck u suck
Windows doesn't have this problem. Linux is for people who want to waste their time.

no, windows is for people too stupid to use a computer with a nanny doing it for them

just tell me that you don't go outside

Just tell me you know nothing about technology
