I always avoided it like the plague mostly because it's facebook's but for some reason tons of jobs require it and I have no idea why, what happened to angular?

react is what you get when a bunch of high iq socilaties bikeshed over front end development for too long. the amount of pseudointellectual terminology that has sprung up around react is disgusting

cheesed to meta ya!

I hated it some time ago but once I learned it I started to like it.
Plus it feels good to call myself a Fullstack Software Engineer.

Whats wrong with it? Outside of needing something like webpack to deal with the syntax.

Unironical brainlets who can't deal with abstract concepts

Lets mix JS and HTML, also go ahead and tell me that Redux is a sane library.

I hate SPA but have to learn it now

zustand

If you hate React you clearly have no experience with other frameworks or even JS

React is the lesser of evils

I hate front-end development as much as the next Any Forumsoy but there's no fucking way I'd rather do HTML + vanilla JS than React.

Wait until you see angular.
React isn't great, but it's best we have.

I hate typescript

what about Nextjs?

You clearly hasn't tried vue and svelte. React is abomination.

The real problem is horrible shitty bloated websites.
>single page apps
>virtual lists
>mobile-first designs
>all the other crap shoved everywhere

Websites are worse now than they were 10 years ago because of all this crap. React is a symptom of a larger problem.

Why? Before typescript, a lot of stupid type based bugs and js gotchas went unnoticed. I write less tests since i use ts.
Nextjs is based. Can use my nodejs libraries and have the react refresh funcs

VUEjs >>>> react.

name another thing that is react but butter

Yeah HTML + vanilla JS in today's industry would make you seem insane. That doesn't make your only option React.
