>never update them so nothing is working
>one last year student complains software isnt working on windows
>run windows update
>it werks

Macs ARE PCs ffs

No, they aren’t clones of the IBM PC. They don’t have the BIOS or a clone of it.

They're personal computers

I like your boss

PC is a brand name, zoom zoom.

now that's BASED

No, it isn't.

based boss

Yes it is, kid. PC is used for computers compatible with the IBM PC. A product from IBM. You zoomers may not realise this, but home computers were a lot more varied in the 70s and early 80s than they are today.

>Yes it is, kid. PC is used for computers compatible with the IBM PC.
Still not a brand.
>A product from IBM.
IBM hasn't made PCs in a very long time, and it still isn't a brand. The term predates IBM's PCs.

>working from a mac
Nice April Fools joke OP.

No it doesn’t. We used to call them microcomputers, home computers, or just computers. Personal computer began with IBM.

Nope. Many companies sold a wide array of generally incompatible computers that were all generally termed to be personal computers. That "IBM compatible PC" is even a term should have been a clue to you, zoomer. It specifies a PC that is compatible with IBM's. Note however that some IBM computers that have retroactively been called personal computers by the press were not even IBM compatible PCs. The term was not invented by IBM, nor has it ever belonged to them, nor has it ever exclusively referred to computers compatible with theirs.
