Tv adapter

I can't find the correct AC adapter for my TV.

It should be 19.5V and 6.2A but the closest I could fuckin find was a laptop charger with 19.5V and 4.7A.
The 6.2 amp versions barely exist on the planet.
What's gonna happen if I use the weaker one?

Pic is what I need but will never get, it's too expensive online.

potential brownout
it probably won't damage your tv but no guarantees
try to keep power use low just in case

If you can't find one with enough amps, just use more voltage. You just need to know ohms law, basically double the voltage will give you double the amps. In this case a 40v supply will give you 7amps which is plenty. Having more power is never a problem because the tv will only take as much as it needs. But having less power in the adapter will cause it to burn out. The only downside to using a bigger adapter with more amps and volts is they cost more

It took 30 seconds on DDG. It's a hundred bucks for the real part, and thirty bucks for a like-kind model. How are those prices too expensive? Did you steal that TV?

>her TV has no internal power supply

Do not listen to this advice, you will destroy your devices. More rated amps on a power supply are fine, more voltage is not.

Yeah and add 25 bucks for shipping and 30% of import taxes for the total.
This is not a reasonable price for a power cord for an old tv you got for free and doesnt have the stand or the remote included

Bad advice. It is the other way around. There is no harm in using a psu with the same voltage but higher amps. i.e. 19.5V and 8A.

Not enough amps, mate.

Also, it needs to have the right type of barrel connector.
I _think_ it needs to be 6 millimeters thick. I tried to ram in a 7 mm thick HP laptop charger and it wouldn't fit.

In all seriousness it will probably work. The tv is unlikely the full amps

>TV with external power brick
yeah it's time to find a new television you fucking poorfag.

so cut the connector off and attach it to the other supply

How easy is it to switch the connectors? Are there like a million wires going inside or just two?
My main PC monitor has the right type of connector but I'm not going to destroy it for nothing.

Just sell the TV and use the money to buy a new one.
Don't be a Jamal, OP

You need to search local flea markets then, baka.

Also, self-made power cords sound like a class A fire hazard.
I have soldered before, but I'm not a professional cordbro.

I did, what found was like 30 laptop chargers that all had the wrong connector and low ampage.
The connector is always either 5mm or 7mm thick, never 6mm.

Keep searching, these things take time

Not so stupid now, huh son?
