do famous scene groups acknowledge uploads by unknown groups (or individuals) as long as they follow the scene standards (scenerules.org)? or is it like a closed club kind of thing where only famous groups acknowledge each other, and everyone elses upload just get nuked regardless of whether they follow the scene standards?
i heard some people say scene groups all know each other and are connected to some super s3cr3t 3l33t IRC / topsite, but thats not true is it? isn't "the scene" just a set of standards for certain types of torrent material?
I suppose you need to be in the scene for your release to spread. You need to release on a site that has a courier who's going to spread your release on other scene sites. Maybe there's some pre channel where you announce your releases so they get picked up. >i heard some people say scene groups all know each other and are connected to some super s3cr3t 3l33t IRC / topsite, but thats not true is it? I think there are separate "scenes" like the mp3 one is a bit different from the iso one. There might be some member overlap between groups or the same people releasing different content under different group name (like operation fastlink has proven)
