Will we ever see a third option in smartphones ever again? Hell, even if Windows or Blackberry were still around I'd be happy with either of those over apple or google.
Will we ever see a third option in smartphones ever again? Hell...
Android is fine
wdym pinephone out now
I got a Windows tablet and you can't even turn off the updates that take too much space. I got a Windows 10 Vero tablet with 32GB hard drive and now it only has 10 GB free because of the updates.
when ms wakes the fuck up and include a calling app in windows and oems include pcie slot for cell modems
true linux phones, like the pinephone. it seems very promising and give plenty of useful features (as expected from any linux device)
I was rooting for Windows. I never got one, but it was nice to have more options, more competition.
they already have the shitty phone ui, either windows or loonix
Apple, Microsoft and Google are just waiting for someone to be the first to pull the OS as a service drain plug. Enjoy paying $5/month for the privilege to use the OS that's installed on your phone
I doubt it since they make so much off the app store.
There is Kaios.
>Linux phones
>50% of hardware features are unsupported
>slow as fuck
>battery can't last a day
>most distros are unstable and crash all the time
>>>seems very promising
Did you ever use a Pinephone? It's basically a brick even compared to a half decade old budget phone.
Did you know that Android is Linux? Shocking.
You're looking at this all wrong. Every different Android manufacturer is selling a distribution of Android. Samsung, Motorola, Sony, etc. There's more than just 2.
this guy gets it. we need to be dumb in order to be smart
>I would rather use catpiss instead of water.
>crashes
From your original post (You) said "true linux phones".

You can install sailfish on some phones. I'd love to see some oob sailfish phones.
