Been OK for me today. Got accepted to a Bootcamp, and am nailing the pre-work. How about you OP?

What the point of job?

Just buy x5 3080 and start crypto mining

My support job now has Tier 2 team members assign tickets. Kinda gay because I used to be able to pick my own adventure, but now I have to deal with gay faggot CSM niggers who constantly hound Zendesk tickets all day with their presence.

I've since just opened up Dev Tools on the browser, and nuke that particular HTML element so I don't have to have faggots watching over my shoulder. Literally would bitchslap the shit out of the CSM that was doing this today on one of my tickets.

Backseat faggot drivers are the worst. There's a special spot in hell for 'Solutions Engineers' that should have been dissolved into Support.

Literally doesn't make money unless you're in a spot that has free electricity like China. Go away, Chang.

Looking for more jobs at the moment actually.

Tomorrow I have interview for entry level job.

Good luck dude, you're gonna kick ass

thanks Bro

When these passive income sites are up and running, I can finally work for myself. If I can make a steady 2k-3k a month, bare minimum, I'm set and free from the "employers" teat.

>no more worrying if I'll get fired because at most companies, you're replacable
>no more pointless meetings
>getting up and working on my own time, when needed
>being able to do more in life

Not exactly job-related, but I'm interested in reading technical books. My problem is that I can't really retain information. I could take notes, but even then I'd end up with lots of papers that I'd have to read again and still forget what they said in a matter of days.
Maybe this sounds stupid, but how can people read these long books about computer science and not forget everything in a short period of time? It already takes me months to finish a book, it really feels like I've wasted my time if I forget all about it

well the reality is many people forget many aspects of what they've learned (hence the need for even the brightest of minds to "refresh" on something"). i would say creating something if possible or reproducing some result if it's theoretical would be a surefire way to ensure you'll retain the info better

sales asked a project manager to spy on me because they think I am not working on their project.

Are you?

we are all rooting for you tiffany

for me I need to actually implement something real using the knowledge and struggle to do it for it to stick. Just reading about it isn't enough.

I got a job writing purely functional Scala with Cats Effect and I haven't spoken to an Indian an 8 months.

Pretty jelly user, very nice.

>write fun code for one day
>spend the rest of the week writing soulless tests and debugging
imma snap

just got out of a technical interview
got asked me what OS I use and couldn't hold back my power level
showed them my riced arch DE and they were all trying to hold back their laughter

Do you do Wordpress sites? What do you maintain?

Teach me your ways, user. I want to be a private contractor Dev later on and work 4 days a week (even if they're long) so I can flip people off and have fun with my family for the rest of the week.

it's fine, you'll get better at this
next time just answer "linux" and if they push it and ask for a distro just say "arch linux"
no need to flex your mad skills or anything
>they were all trying to hold back their laughter
they were all trying to hide their insecurities by projecting it onto you

I would say MacOS for work, Linux for personal use. This statement has worked for me, and makes you seem like a smarter man overall.

Forgot to mention that I agree with the second user as well.

Some normies are faggots that just like Fisherprice Linux (MacOS ™) and have literally no balls cause they chopped em off to become troons.
