0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine.
1) Use a live image and to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Edit /etc/default/grub and change the timeout option from 5 to 0. Then save it and run grub-mkconfig again.

Pretty important release. Wonder how much more shit will be snaps now besides Firefox.

I'm having a lot of issues with webrtc calls. After ~10 minutes, I'll get intermittent cpu spikes every few minutes to 100% on all cores that lock up my computer for a few seconds and stutter the call.
Happens on both Firefox and chromium, hardware acceleration enabled or disabled.
I'm using a thinkpad p51 with nvidia quadro m2200, driving 2x 2k/60Hz monitors and one at FHD/60Hz.

Possibly related - waving around the cursor in a chromium/Firefox window will make thread cpu usage increase by ~40%. Scrolling spikes cpu usage too. Something fucky is going on there.

The webrtc apps that give me trouble are slack, Google meet, and faceberg messenger calls

I'm using the proprietary nvidia drivers, 470.103.01

I'm so bored I don't want to do anything I need some meth

why does nvidia hate wayland?
also my 1080ti gets stutters dragging windows and stuff on kde x11
this is apparently normal though?

which distro has good support for nvidia graphics guise? I currently have a thinkpad t540p with 730m

With an old card like that you could probably just get away with an Ubuntu spin.

What browser can I download that will let me play online flash games on linux in the year of our lord 2022?

I was in i3 and ran the proton vpn cli and it spat out an extremely long error about a python script and I had no internet connection. I logged into gnome and noticed the failed command had left the VPN connected, so I deleted it through the delete button in gnome-shell..

It borked something.. what do lads?
