What happens if I connect a 3pin 800 rpm BeQuiet-Fan to the y-connector of a 4 pin 1200 rpm BeQuiet-Fan. Will the 1200 RPM Fan get throttled down to 800rpm or will the 800rpm try to spin at 1200 rpm and go up in flames?

it will easily go up to 4k rpm

Dont do it OP, it make nerve gas.

serious answers please. Here I drew the configuration. Can something bad happen?

it's a fucking fan, it will just spin faster
just put on recording, do it, and post results here so I can say I was right

ok im back. The fan died. Thanks.

>what is voltage

What is the matrix

yeah they could blow up but probably not

Jessie Volts age is 32

>yfw they're the probably same fan but one has a different resistor

4pin fan will be adressable and speed can be changed in bios/software

3 pin fan will spin at 800rpm as it just gets 12v

this is not rocket science

Cheapest hardware to make 3D! Suggestions?

lol

3 pin = voltage controls the speed
4 pin = pulse controls the speed

3 pin = u see the RPM of your Fan.
4pin = u can see and change RPM of your Fan.
Your Fan will work.
