You will own nothing

>you will soon have to pay a monthly subscription fee to use your iPhone
And because Apple is a trendsetter, in 5 years most phone brands will do this as well.

Having an option to lease a phone does not mean that all phones will be forcibly leased. That would be retarded.

what if i just buy old phones that aren't maintaned by the company anymore? samsung has a lot of those

>Here's why that's a good thing
so the jews can squeeze out more money from the nigger cattle!

This is basically already what most people do anyway. They finance their phone via their carrier and then once they've paid it off they trade it in for the newest one. Repeat ad infinitum. This would just cut out the trade-in part and you would automatically get a new phone every year or two or whatever.

Why is that a bad thing?

>That would be retarded.
That will be the future and there is nothing you will do about it.

Not sure how to break this to you. user but plenty of people lease their iPhones and just get the new one each year to do the same thing. The only difference here is that you’re financing straight through Apple and not your carrier. You’re misunderstanding the article

YOU VILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY

No, this is in fact something different from their iphone upgrade plan which they already offer. The language implies that it's hanging over your head more. As in your phone bricks itself instead of you just quit being eligible to get a new phone if you miss a payment. In fact, this new plan may not even entitle you to upgrades.

payphones have existed longer than smartphones retard

the thing is, 99% of iphone users would have no problem with it
the amount of status-seeking plebs paying 2 grand over the course of 2 years for their phone is mindboggling, but they couldn't conceive of living within their means
even people on good tech salaries do this stupid shit

iPhone users already own nothing.

"Here's why X is a good thing" is journospeak for 'you'll get fucked and there's nothing you can do about it'

They just want everyone to get on their Apple Pay/Apple Card bullshit. You're owing all your jewcoins and interest to Apple instead of the carrier.

beast

>AND HERES WHY THATS A GOOD IDEA
this is bad writing
this is blatant propaganda (but you already knew that)

thats literally the best way to do it
you can buy stocks or renewable energy if you want. "boomers" do mostly this for when they have the same goal as what this aims to do, in mind. but for many years now the iphones and macbooks have been a great investment for credit or having assets that dont lose too much value
this is true even more today, at least in the UK, since the gubbernmunt fucking removed the tax-free stores for watches and necklaces. you can still do it in the US (to my knowledge) with the DELL tax-free "sale" yearly. a DELL optiplex literally does not lose money

with the DELL
or the macbook

you can buy a macbook or an iphone on credit, or take out a loan, writing it off as a business expense most of the time (not a write-off but getting some tax reduction from it) because it can be a work phone. when youre done paying it off, theres another couple of thousand to spend to do it again
the macbook/iphone/s dont lose value, they never do
the only mistake is getting rid of it at the end (and with DELL/iphone its good to have them, for their special parts and for other DELLs and IPHONEs). either way it improves your credit score

>all-recycled iphone
>no reuse or reduce
even just recycling is already rich coming from Apple, a trade-in program would have the same effect

That's because it's a thinly veiled advertisement. These aren't journalists writing these articles, they're freelancers who get paid per click so they have to write outrageous clickbait or shill shit just to make $200 or $300 from Mr. Goldstein (yes, that's literally all they get paid for selling their little remaining integrity lmao).
