so whats the downside to having that many fans in your computer?

there comes a point where the cfm needed to maintain your computers thermal envelope exceeds the noise ratio outputted.

>in your computer?
nope
this is an external radiator, its outside your pc
its *extremely* effective, can easily cool 12900k/3090 system with fans at minimum rpm
downside is the extra space it takes up, and the price (of the entire custom loop, the rad itself is fairly reasonably priced)

amusingly, there are even larger ones, capable of cooling gaming systems without any fans at all :)

How frequent are extra fan headers on GPUs and is there a specific AIB that tends to do that more than others?

What mobo should I get with pic related? I need mostly line in and a good amount of usb/sata ports, bluetooth/wifi if it's there it's ok, if not I can live with it

I built a similar system a few days ago. Used an Asus ROG STRIX B660-a Wifi D4. But if you need more IO, go with a Z690 chipset

Fun fact: scalpers on Facebook marketplace have to falsely list their GPUs for $500, because that's as high as Facebook allows for shipped items. You can fuck them over by reporting this, and they won't be able to sell there anymore...
...unless they lower the price to $500. Bwahahahahahahaha!

extra headers are very rare even on overclock focused cards. most just expect you to watercool instead of throwing more fans.

There is also the weird connectors they use on GPUs, your not really expected to add fans or even mess with them outside of unplugging them for replacement with the same fans

Should I buy the i5 12400 or JUST_WAIT for Zen4?

Gonna build my PC in the summer/autumn.

The more i frequent these threads, the more i become paralyzed and inactive. Time is running and i still use my old pc going with the motions. After wageslaving for 8 months to save up for a new pc (saved 3500 euros) the time is here and i don't know what to do. I was happy to announce that i ordered a 3080ti for 1200 euros and the anons here mogged me telling me that 4000 will be out soon and i should have gotten and 3060ti and that i got jewed. I canceled the order and now im here sad with my old 1070. Now i was ready to order the 12900k and everyone told me to go for 12700. I build a good ddr4 systems and anons here tell me to go ddr5. How do i trust myself and just go for it when i have a huge knowledge gap for small things? Do i just research every part individually? there's like 100 mobos 100 fans i just decide

How many dicks did you suck this week?

>2160p: RX 6800 XT, RX 6900 XT, RTX 3080 Ti
The drone spams his OP 35 posts early because he can't stand reality. This is only one fault; I could go through and pick it apart

I think I should get a 3070 ti for my budget and use case. Had a 970 (3.5) until now

How do I pick a manufacturer? Coil whine is a big no for me

>do I just research every part individually?
Yes. But before you do that, you should get clarity on your use case(s) and your requirements. The specs for the parts follow from there.

other thread hasn't even hit bump limit yet, you braindead moron

do not get a 3070ti unless its literally cheaper than any you can get 3070.
its 5% faster at best, at the cost of 70 extra watts of heat
either go 3070, or spend the extra $ for a 3080.

amd shills have been bum rushing the op for at least a couple of months now
pay them back by always recommending intel/nvidia :)

Truth is, you probably doesn't need a new PC. Save your money or invest it.

where do you compare them

Is it expected that 4080 availability is going to be as awful as 3080?
Also, will an 850W Corsair Gold be enough for the 4080?

Just go for what you want.
You have to understand that you are in a forum where people tend to be hyper-focused on one thing whether it be getting the absolute latest and "greatest" (sometimes it's not always great but it's the newest which matters alot to some people), some are focused on value and others are focused on getting the absolute best for whatever.

I find this is all way overdone sometimes, Any Forums is full of autists so it's not unexpected.
PC building is a luxury, flat out. Get what makes you feel good.

We're not some fucking medium you fatfuck.

>I build a good ddr4 systems and anons here tell me to go ddr5
What retard told you that?

started pc, saw this. what should i do?

don't know about availability but expect a price increase over 3080, 150 to 200$ more

BS, you like everyone else have no idea about that.

Can anyone recommend me a good waterblock for the LGA 1700? I'm recycling my current liquid cooling and I can't just pop the one I currently have (and afaik there are no converters from LGA 2011 to 1700

Indeed I have no idea, I just look at what happened in the past:
>1080 fe $699
>2080 fe $799
>3080 fe $699

Forgot to mention, I'm in UK

What's the 2nd best monitor after Samsungs odyssey G7
I need something for games/movies/office, no videoediting, 1440p, 27", flat and at least 120hz
Seems like VA would be better, but they are all curved, IPS has this typical blacklight issue and bad contrast, no?

If they live in a big city they won't need to ship...tard

Putting way touch thought into it
Just buy an xbox for 500, and save the rest

yea, msrps are holding stead at 700, expect when launching during crypto booms.
the 3080 will most likely launch after eth has gone pos, so its most likely going to be priced at 700
