All of them. It's an x86 laptop not a DEC PRISM workstation. Just install one and then remove shit that slows it down.

gnu guix

gentoo

antix

>7
will be compiling for days

Windows NT 3.1

Just choose something with a lightweight DE, like lubuntu

Void with a lightweight DE or WM

Genuinely use gentoo, any speed improvement will be worth it. Just keep it near a window for a few days

openbased

i have compiled gnu guix with is way more bloated than gentoo with dwm and it only took less than a day

on a thinkpad t41

netbsd

i forgot about trying bsd
thank you

No OS more modern than Windows XP runs well on it, that's the sad truth.
Lubuntu runs like shit, lack of PAE is also annoying.

Thanks Luke

could you explain how PAE exactly shows up in softwaare you run daily?

this or LXLE

Gentoo. I was running Gentoo on a T41p for years.
