Xonar Stx. This is fucking good!

I just got one of those cards for just $100.00.
It is the first version, not the STX II that I heard is way worse.

When using with ASIO, it fucking blows out of the water any DAC I have.
My HD650 never sounded this good.

Damn, who knew such a piece of hardware was this good.
I guess sound didn't evolve much during the last decade.

Recommend me some OP AMP so I can improve it.

Based

>sound didn't evolve much
what do you mean you haven't experienced the NEW Dolby Technic Pro Logic 3.6 Surround Atmospheric DX HD: II?
sorry but your sound is OBSELETE

>the DAC you have didn't already support ASIO
what garbage were you using?

I legit don't know what these super duper duper dolby atmos sonos ultra sonic dts 3.0 memes even mean, and looking them up and finding how you would even set this shit up or what supports it seems to be almost impossible.

Dolby Atmos has actually had pretty good market penetration.

Most films and higher budget TV shows at this point have Dolby Atmos soundtracks.

It's plug and play on modern TVs and blu-ray shit, to the point people don't even know they are using it, sure. But how the fuck you figure that shit on PC, it's a mess

Dolby has an app, the real issue comes with many GPU's not properly outputting dolby to your receiver.

It's been years and still Nvidia has no way to force a GPU to output a dolby audio signal even if it doesn't detect a dolby capable receiver.

>it fucking blows out of the water any DAC I have.
Surprising, in what way? Granted I haven't ever used my HD650s with a sound card, I've had a DAC for 10 years.
>Recommend me some OP AMP so I can improve it.
I've a JDS Atom amp and no complaints although I doubt it's considered OP.

is this bait?

You can upgrade the OP amps on the STX card itself

>is this bait?
Uh, no? I didn't know you could upgrade since I haven't given a shit about sound cards in over a decade.

>Damn, who knew such a piece of hardware was this good
I knew, I own one.
I just never reply to threads from retards saying sound cards are obsolete.

I want to buy one too.
Is there anything adapter that allows you to plug a PCIe card over USB3.1 or USBC?

I currently have a itx board.

But they are obsolete.

Upgrade to an LM741 op. It's one of the best op-amps on the market. Trust me, I'm an EE.

You could maybe do it over thunderbolt since it can treat external PCIe devices as if they were internal. But I don't think the STX drivers would allow it to work over normal USB.

And thunderbolt PCIe docks are expensive, like a couple hundred bucks, so it wouldn't be worth it.

this thread is dumber than the average thread
go ahead and buy this dogshit you stupid fucks
amirm is giggling from behind his computer screen
um it's called an EXTERNAL sound card sweatie
how fucking stupid are you idiots

You don't need a soundcard.
