SystemD is just an MS / IBM plot to ruin Linux, and it's working well.

it literally works better than the thing before it

No it doesn't. It's far worse. It doesn't even work as well as SMF which was around for ages before it, or Apple's init system which isn't even bloated yet has all the same functionality.

It's cool, everybody knows the Pajeets at IBM and Microsoft have set out to utterly destroy Linux. And good riddance.

>pretending there is nothing wrong with that image
what you're getting with systemd is simply a shitty deal.
you're getting barely anything to make your life easier in exchange for a huge load of added complexity with millions of LOC.
still not gonna use it lennart

>Applel shill reveals itself
hol up, do you still get paid if you do this?

Welcome to systemd general, where we talk about systemd and all of its great features, ask questions and help eachother out with its usage

systemd maintenance guide:
>Step 1: nothing
systemd is a mature piece of software and is very stable
it requires essentially no maintenance and is extremely reliable and fast
systemd is considered by many industry experts as one of the best software suite in the GNU/Linux world
Unlike alternative init systems developed by amateurs with little to no real world experience, systemd has been developed by a decades-long expert in the GNU/Linux world (Lennart Poettering) and is backed by multi-billion dollars corporations, such as Red Hat, SUSE and others.

Feel free to ask any questions related to systemd, its usage or any issues you are encountering and we'll do our best to help you out

MEDS NOW

Oh look what I found.
It claims to be a 'a UNIX init scheme with service supervision'
Huh, how curious.

>Feel free to ask any questions related to systemd,
I’m always seeing people (bots) say systemd is shit because it has backdoors and is pozzed. When I send them the URL to the open source github and tell them to show me where they never respond. Why is that?

>plot to ruin Linux
>set out to utterly destroy Linux
>by making it better in every way
systemd is inspired by SMF and launched and copies most of the ideas from them

OOPS

Attached: systemd.jpg (801x438, 60.63K)

only about 5%-10% of that is the init and service manager, the rest is other tools and services
btw runit is broken crap and needs tons of other tools to actually work

Some people just refuse to take their meds.

>MEDS NOW
I DID take my meds. You're the one who hasn't.

works on my machine

>you want to go back to shell scripts?
Unironically will be better

i love resolved so much. i could just add a domain name suffix and dns server to networkmanager for my wireguard config and split dns just works magically

yes, with tons of other tools
satirical post

So are there actually backdoors or no? Asking for a friend

I wish initware wasn abandonware

I don't know user. Not having to figure out service sandboxing, startup ordering, automounts, single instance cron jobs, multi interface DNS routing, automatically assigning certain permissions to local user sessions, etc. seems like a pretty good deal.

Not known ones, no.

I know of one.

Hey
So basically I'm just not gonna use the systemd.
I know..... UGH I know...
I'm sorry!!!!!!!
It's just that I'm not gonna use it is all HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

post the proof or gtfo, schizo

Link to file and line number, please.

>I'm sorry!!!!!!!
you don't have to apologize, it's perfectly alright.
