Portability, for both travel to school/cafes(not often though) and airports (again not often but it has come in handy a few times). Also price range is perfect and if I have more money in the future than maybe I'll get a desktop as well but I haven't played video games in months so I'm pretty content at the moment

desktop computers have a better price-performance ratio than laptops but they also use a lot more energy, are bulkier and get dust everywhere

I hate how gaymen laptops are the only ones allowed to have some thickness to them. I wish companies would start copying that new apple laptop that has a bit of girth. Although knowing them they're going to copy the retarded notch instead.

Unless you go for the high end models where they charge 1.75x what other retailers charge for memory/storage and cpus

This. The only thing I found that didnt look like a riced fisher price toy was pic related, but the only one I could find online in my country has an i5-11300H together with the GTX 3060, which from what I saw it is a bit of a bottleneck.
Also all reviews say it's loud as fuck when the fans kick in.

always had a full desktop since I was a kid, but in the future (maybe 2027) ill switch to a laptop without gpu or an android tablet with keyboard and whatever xbox is released

we may not have the same taste but I'm currently using a Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15IWL (picrel)
thing has a great cpu (i7 - 1.8GHz), nvme (512GB) storage nice clean black frame, the screen is shit and it doesnt have a dedicated GPU but who tf games on a laptop, thing compiles like a chad.
