Not as long as you'd think. I went from a row staggered board to an ergodox and it took me about a week or two to get back up to my regular WPM. After that switching to a dactyl took no time at all in comparison.

By default it would be Volume up/dn/mute. But QMK and VIA support would mean you can set it up as whatever the fuck you want. I have an amp on my desk with a knob and even one of my headsets has a fucking dial so I would probably set it up as alt-tab or something retarded.
