If you're serious then you hopefully don't have to worry about the cost. Quantum is pretty much the only option right now for high capacity.
LTO-7 is popular right now even though you can get 8 or 9. The tapes are pretty cheap and it's hard to justify going past 6/15 TB unless your use case is more than that.

Ashtray in case is shit. It's always too far away from keyboard. Best place is ashtray between monitor and keyboard.
