Everything you need for the web

Everything you need for the web.
And optionally a little JS for the frontend.

That's it, the web was solved ages ago. Why are morons still trying to invent new things?

Why MySQL in particular?

>apache
>not nginx
ew

I switched to lighttpd and, a few years after it failed to get modern features, nginx. Also mariadb. Haven't looked back.

Why nginx?

faster, better memory footprint, better configuration

You have no idea how great and fast PHP is today. Nothing else can compare when it comes to an online stack.

When it gets fucked at least you know it was nginx

>Linux
It's GNU+Linux.

>Apache
Obsolete trash. Use NGINX instead.

>MySQL
Obsolete trash. Use SQLite or PostgreSQL depending on your constraints.

>PHP
The only PHP software still worth more than their non-PHP alternatives are MediaWiki and phpBB. Python+Flask shits on everything else.

>apache

shit performance

>mysql

shit compared to postgresql

>php

just shit.

This is a boomer tier stack from the early 2000s.

>Obsolete trash. Use NGINX instead.
It's not obsolete, you're talking out of your ass.
>Obsolete trash. Use SQLite or PostgreSQL depending on your constraints.
Also not obsolete. You could say use MariaDB instead, but I treat them as the same. No need to use anything else.
>The only PHP software still worth more than their non-PHP alternatives are MediaWiki and phpBB.
How can you pick phpBB over Xenforo lol. Also arguably the best CMS's are Wordpress and Drupal - both PHP.
Yeah, I know Wordpress has a bed rep, because too many noobs use it in a bad way, but if you know what you're doing it's a good CMS.

Name a bad thing about Wordpress as a software itself, not about the misuse of amateurs.

>How can you pick phpBB over Xenforo
How about the fact I don't want to cuck myself to a meme startup in order to make a forum with needless JS?

because
>apache
nginx is better now
>mysql
postgresql is better now
>php
i hear it's actually finally decent, as long as you're using one of the major frameworks
i'm not going back though

>i'm not going back though
What are you using?
