I install yt-dlp directly from source and it's named yt-dlp already.

Actually did. I use yt-dlp on my favourite game.

Nigger like the first thing I did after getting youtube-dl was alias it to something shorter than 'youtube-dl'. And I'm still sticking to youtube-dl.
I use it now, but I didn't for the longest time because a program I use all the time imports youtube-dl as a python library. I had to go in, check all occurrences of that, and replace them with yt-dlp calls. Thankfully it all works, but it was absolute tedium. People keep saying there's some simple solution to that, but I never get enough info, and I wanted it done now. Not everybody is using it as a bare terminal program.
