F22

The F22 is the pinnacle of human technology. It only gets worse from here

Not my problem.

It could be your problem one day

a fine product of the jjoe biden administraitation

it could also be my solution one day

Su-47 may not be as advanced, to even realistically viable, but it looks more badass.
F22 is slick af though nobody can deny.

And it still is, in regards to air to air superiority. The F35 sacrificed some air to air capability for super advanced avionics, communications suite, and air to ground superiority, so an F35 squadron will almost always be accompanied by F22s for air to air security

enough of the multi role meme

The F35 seems pretty popular

So how did they make a jet that couldn’t be topped in 30 years? Im starting to believe aliens have to do with it

>make very fast overpriced airplane
>muh pinnacle of human technology
Whoopdie doo. What's next? Make a slightly faster airplane?

Having single role tools that are highly effective are as important as dynamic and adaptable multi role swiss army knives in war. The F22 could out maneuver the F35 on paper but the F35 could just activate stealth mode and disappear from the F22's radar, so it's give and take.

>The F22 ...
Is fucking old.

And yet it was the best thing humans have engineered even with its shitty chip

I''ve always been of the opinion that the f35 is so plentiful we can just zerg rush with them

ok but

>requires 2 people to operate
If it was so great then it would only need 1 person to operate.

Japan is developing their own 6th generation fighter after we fucked them on the F22 (they helped develop portions of it then the US said fuck off when japan asked to buy it).
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_F-X

That being said, the US is also developing their 6th generation fighters

F22 is cool, but it's sorta a relic of an air to air fighter role that no longer really exists, at least doesn't seem to have much relevance in any air combat scenario the US has been involved in lately.

i thought lockheed was trying to pull some hebrew trickery to export the f22 to japan since they have the f35

>f35 is so plentiful
holy shit I feel old and outdated, I remember reading about the F35 during the days it was a controversial and expensive R&D project led by fat cats with deep pockets and questionable money. Now I find out there's 500+ as of April 2020 and the USAF commissioned to build 1500+ last year. How many of these do we fucking have? God damn, we could easily zerg rush with them and rekt any nation if need be

Not impressed. Wake me up when they finally figured out nuclear powered flight vehicles.

>$15,000 cup holder
f22 bros...

The Blackbird is more like the pinnacle of human achievement than technology. That plane is just insane

Sexiest plane ever.
Northrop YF23, soon to be seen in Japan.
Thank you

they fired up the the engine at least twice and had some nutty ideas on paper and decided against building a doomsday weapon
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Pluto

Well Finland bought 64 of them and now Germany is replacing their fleet with them. See After Russia decided to invade Ukraine I wouldn't be surprised if other European countries buy them.

Technically they did but they decided not to connect the reactor to the engines.

>yf23
never forget what dick cheney took from you

>The F22 is the pinnacle of human technology.
if you believe that, then you are a retarded fucking idiot.
quite great despite its flaws. unfortunately, outside of israel and usa, everyone else gets gimped versions. israel is the only country that has their own software and maintainence teams, apparently for "security reasons". not even the jews trust the yanks with their own shit because the plane is like a tesla - sending large amounts of data back to the manufacturer and us government.

slick on the outside, very ancient on the inside.

No, they opted not to do it, hence their own domestic 6th gen project

> Lockheed Martin's hybridized stealth fighter was also met with doubt due to its expensive price, as well as uncertainties that the U.S. would allow the sale given the export ban on the F-22. One report indicated that the hybrid fighter could cost as high as $177 million per aircraft.

> In early February 2019, the MoD announced that a 'Japan-led' Future Fighter program will be initiated, with collaboration with foreign defense contractors still being an option. The announcement further enforces that plans to develop or locally produce existing foreign-made fighter jets has been ruled out. Furthermore, the program will prioritize domestic industries to develop and produce the stealth fighter. The program will occur between 2019–2023 in line with the MoD's Mid-Term Defense Program and will take 15 years to complete; around the time when the F-2 begins to retire

Main point regarding the potential upgraded F22
> plans to develop or locally produce existing foreign-made fighter jets has been ruled out.

wait until u see the F23

>technically

>if you believe that, then you are a retarded fucking idiot.
show me better technology then

> i'm not even trying!
i can tell.
