Will the robots that replace manual labor be humanoids?

What will they look like?

probably spider or quadruped bots with manipulator and lifter arms in industrial settings, and humanoid or dog bots in human care settings

no, they would be machines like how it's been for the last century
look at a modern car factory

>look at a modern car factory

They're good at assembling a lot of one thing quickly.
Manual labor work is custom solutions in unique spaces. Even for a lot of the most brainless jobs.

>tachikoma running around everywhere
I wsih

that's because they expect humans to do it.
if it were automated they would have to redesign the process from start to finish, it would be a whole lot less work and cheaper than humanoid robots that can actually deal with crap like crappy stacked pallets that fell over in the truck. I'd pay money to see any robot pick all that crap up.

>inb4 VR control with haptic feedback

>have to pay monthly subscription fee to continue using neuralink porn service
>get hacked and get endlessly raped by horses and dolphins 24/7
>can't log out

get actual neuralink instead of ad-supported amazonlink with a subscription service

MFW when I couldn't get around the DRM

>implying amazon wouldn't have become such an absolute uncontainable giant that it immediately consumes any developing potential competitor and every other industry by the time neuralink is commercially available to consumers
